I believe the best players need to be made available. If they&#39;re still in Europe, those will be very long seasons - and possibly overlap into the beginning of the NH season?</p> <p>So where would they play otherwise? Super 14 unions seem to have a cap on &#39;foreign&#39; players (i.e. those not elligible for the country in which they play Super rugby), many of which in NZ and Aus go to players from the Pacific Nations ... or at least in the recent past (Fa&#39;atau at Hurricanes). But it shows how Canada was spinning its wheels. Only 20 years ago, Canada was regularly beating Argentina (maybe not regular, but at par), now they are accept as being a part of the elite.</p> <p>I hope this gives hope that we can also move to this ranking. </p>
