Bears at Rock

    This will be the test that the Rock have been looking for four over five years to silence or support the critics of Rugby played furthest East in Canada.

    Predictions?

    Mine: Rock 21 - Bears 19.

    The home crowd will be a huge advantage and some of the BC boys won't know what hit them. Literally like a bottle of Black Horse on the back of the head thrown from the upper stands.

    Should be good!

    I don't think that the Bears will be taking anything for granted, and I'm sure that they won't be too put off by the "warm welcome" they will surely receive.

    It will be an intense affair I'm sure, with a lot of grunt. If The Rock can play abrasive, keep away, Munster style rugby, they will have a very good chance. If they try a run and gun game (can't see that) they will have a difficult time.

    I hope that no one at any venue in Canada would do such a thing at a rugby game and I hope you aren't advocating hooliganism in St John's this weekend.

    I don't think either of us were thinking of that Harry. The Rock have a very intense, passionate base of support, but it's all good. It's noisy, but a ton of fun to soak up.
