I just got confirmation that the Irish Canadians vs Aurora Barbarians match will start at 12:00 followed by the Blues vs Rock match at 3:00. The ticket ($15 online, $20 at the gate) gets you admission to both matches.

Blues can still get through to the semi-finals. They need to beat the Rock by at least 7 points (tie break is head to head) and hope the Bears beat the Wolf Pack.

Good Luck to the Blues! I'm biased, but a Bears & Blues playoff would be a great one to watch.

Hopefully next year Ontario Rugby can schedule around the ARC. It must be tougher at Cup time, but lets hope!

Let's hope for a bigger turnout, the ORU President sent out a letter begging for attendance, and a better performance by the Blues. I'll be there again, rain or shine, Go Blues Go.

I am hoping that the Blues management either took a crash course on Sports psychology or brought one on board before they take the field this weekend.

The Wolf pack were good for their win. The Blues got a bad dose of the blues as the clock ticked down.

I cannot imagine what kind of an impact that the Rock will have on last weeks 22?

Good Luck Blues. Go Blues Go.

    I will be there.

    p.s.

I am not known as a coach or a rugby guru and so I judge a game perhaps by different yardsticks than those who purport to be my betters in such matters.

I judge a team, it's results and level of play by a simple factor. Did it keep me interested and on the edge of my seat. Last Saturday game came out a great Big Zero on all accounts.

Guys, dig down deep, feel privildged and honoured to be playing for the Blues, the Province of Ontario and the 6 - 8 thousand absent Ontario registerred members at both last week and this weeks game.

Blues win 32-5. A dominating performance and just what they needed. Now we have to wait and hope BC beats the Wolf Pack

Well OnRugby it looks like you got your wish!

Sounds like a great win by the Blues. I'm sure Pat Parfrey had a coronary while the game was going on. Ahh well...

Looking forward to the return engagement between the Blues and the Bears. I hope that BC has the game in Abbotsford to take advantage of the built in fan base with the Gobbler Tournament. There would be a solid base there to cheer the boys on.

That of course might make sense, which is why I'll bet that the game is on the island.

Well those of us sceptics here in Ontario who chose to stay away from attending this match based on the previous weeks game did themselves and the Team a big disservice.

The Rock played as if they had been the Blues the previous game.

The Blues were awesome but the crowd was once again abysmal and I suppose we in Ontario and perhaps in Canada who want to see this quality of competition will have to be prepared to travel to the US of A in the future.

Congratulations Blues and all of your coaches, manager and staff. Many thanks for what was a seat riveting punters game.

Best of luck to you all come the Canadian Finals in B.C.

    Go Blues Go.

You have proved it! You can reach down deep within yourselves and as a team and deliver when all is on the line.

Looking forward to your 1st. ARC championship final game back here in Toronto.

Was the game advertised on TV / radio / billboards around town or only to the club rugby community via e-mail / website. It strikes me that if you want people to show up they might have to be informed about the event.

irishlock, that sounds like an admirable idea. You will have to share them with the powers that be more often either at the iRB, R.C or the humble R.O. boards.

The best way for your ideas to be ignored would be if you were to stand for election to any one of these august bodies. Your reward is your entitlement to share and participate at the trough .

Maybe if they had scheduled this series of matches in conjunction with the R.O. mini / youth and junior play offs and Final Day Tournament their with the use of a Family Pass they could have filled the 3,200 stand no bother at all.

Gosh I should have kept that to myself. I am beginning to sound just like you irishlock.

Family pass? Why not just force those who were selected to sell a number of tickes as a "bonus" for making a rep side. No need to open up the public, that is hard work. However I think Gord, I am assuming that is you Gord, is correct, you would have to join the table to have your ideas heard. I guess we cannot just blame the ORU but ask them to do better. Unless we step forward to do better, which I am not going to do. Congrats to the lads.

The competition is in its first year and has accomplished some very good things. The level of play has been very good and quite entertaining. The groundwork has been laid for what could become a very good competition. Having said that attendance is a concern and will need to be addressed. Hopefully some of the ideas above will be considered.

One of the things we can do here is think about creating a new category for the ARC competition. It might be modest but it is a national league that has playoffs against international clubs. If we want fans in the seats we need to establish a mindset that this competition is a big thing.

I am disappointed that I did not get a chance to see the game but I couldn't get a ride after playing, believe it or not, a game in Ajax that morning. No one seemed to be interested in travelling about twenty five minutes by car to Fletcher's to support the Blues. Well done to the team and good luck in BC in two weeks time. I will be sure to make the finals day and hope to see the Blues in the championship match vs the winner of Argentina and USA. Go Ontario Go. I'm sure some of the Wanderers would have gone up if John Moonlight hadn't suffered injury and was not in the matchday 22. Always more support if there is someone you know playing. I guess we need to let the general rugby public to feel owmership of the Blues but remember for anyone under 30 you probably don't remember the last time that Ontario had a senior men's representitive team to support in a meaningful competion.

Just read Meghan Mutries report on the BC vs Prairies game and our result was a suprise upset, maybe to the Rock it was but not to me.
